I like it! Kinda catchy. Nice work!

Wow, amazing! I have no words. :O I should check this out, because I saw the original Guardian and I liked it. :D

Step responds:

It's a really neat series with a lot of emphasis on telling a story through just music and visuals which I really admire. Would definitely recommend!

Glad you enjoyed it :).

I like this! It's got this calm feeling to it I really like. Only complaint is that I feel like the voices didn't really work with the song. But overall this is pretty nice!

Great track! I love it! :D

I accidentally stumbled upon this while entering the Newgrounds ID for one of my songs into a game called Geometry Dash and mistyping it. But this is pretty nice too! I guess it could use some percussion, but that's the only thing I really have to say. I don't really listen to songs in this genre, so yeah.

I finally got around to listening to this.

I'll be honest, the intro...wasn't very good. It felt odd and a little cluttered, especially with the random vocals.

The melody's alright. It's not that memorable or anything, but it's nice enough. To me, for some reason it felt like it was switching between upbeat and...not upbeat? I'm not really sure what to call that. :P

I don't really know why, but this song just didn't really feel right. It felt like it had potential, but wasn't executed that well. Ah well, it's probably just my taste in music.

Holy...

This is AMAZING! I played the crap out of Super Mario Galaxy, and hearing this was like a nostalgia bomb. The beginning was absolutely beautiful. Stardust Road was one of my favorites from the OST (I bought it :P), and it worked perfect as a beginning to this. All the sound effects were fine - they didn't sound exactly like the original, but I feel like that actually adds to it in some strange way. Huh. Anyways, mixing chiptune with orchestral was a brilliant idea. It completely worked in the song. The flute performance was amazing - tell Laura she did a good job! :P Overall, my favorite track covered here would have to be Gusty Garden Galaxy. I'm not sure why. It probably has to do with me liking the original song a lot.

I'm not even sure what else to say, really. This was an incredible job for just two days of work. Stuff I make takes weeks and I don't think I could even match this level of awesome ever. After listening to this, I've decided that I'm going to download Harmony of Heroes. Maybe I'll discover some more great tracks like this. Besides, I've been wanting to try and challenge myself with remixing songs for the original 12 Smash characters - maybe this will inspire me to actually go ahead and do it, lol.

Anyways, great job. This is going in my favorites.

Wow, what an encouraging review. I'm floored!

There is definitely a wealth of amazing music in Harmony of Heroes, and in its expansion, Final Smash. I really can't recommend it enough.

Stardust Road is one of the underdogs of the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, I believe. Not very well-known, but an absolute gem.

Gusty Garden Galaxy, on the other hand, is one of the more iconic tracks of the soundtrack. Still really awesome, and I think it's one of the main reasons I felt compelled to write this medley. I love that theme so much.

Thanks once again for the review, it brightened up my day! And don't ever doubt your own musical skills. The first step towards improvement is realising that you have the capability to do so. Plus, I took a listen to your audio and loved what I heard!

Glad you enjoyed this arrangement.

This song is coming from one of my least favorite genres...

...and yet, it's INCREDIBLE. The orchestral instruments at the beginning were done incredibly well and completely worked with the song. Did you actually play those instruments? Because if not, those are the most realistic sounding VSTs I've heard in a while.

Unlike other dubstep songs, I actually didn't mind the drop all that much. It actually felt like it worked in the song, which is probably one of the first times I've ever said that about a dubstep song.

The mastering in this song is fantastic. I can see why it costed so much. The mixing is great, too.

There are only three complaints with this song for me, and those are...

1. The track felt too darn short! It feels like it should've been around four minutes.
2. The ending didn't feel quite right with me. It actually felt a little sudden. I'm not sure why.
3. The buildup to the drop was almost non-existent.

This is still an incredible song. Fantastic work. You've earned a favorite, and this definitely deserves my support on Bandcamp. I'll buy it when I have the chance. :)

How the heck did you recreate the main lead saw at the drop so well? It sounds almost identical to the original! No seriously, how did you do that? That's really impressive, and just for that I'm gonna add another half a star to this review. :P

Anyways, this is a great cover of the original! When I bought the Pirate Dance Machine album, this song was one of my favorites. :D

Only complaints?

The mixing and mastering could be better, some of the sounds seemed to be missing, and the violin felt a bit cheap. That's it though. Aside from those problems, this is a pretty awesome cover. Nice work. :D

I'd love to see you cover other F-777 songs as well! Maybe Mr. Coffee (from Ludicrous Speed) or Nintendo Smash (from Press Start)?

@PianoreGD Because this is a cover, so he was forced to put it at that. I'm pretty sure you can still use it in GD though.

Kyron20 responds:

The saw lead was actually quite simple. It's actually a mix between a saw and pulse. After that I just made it slide a tiny bit and it makes the sound you hear. It sounds a little bit different when it's not mixed in with everything else. If you'd like, I can make a tutorial on it :)

I didn't focus too much on mixing and mastering. I did this in about 4 hours, and just for fun. I originally wasn't going to upload it here, but I ended up doing it.

The sounds that are missing are probably the bass, most of the time. I didn't really add tons of bass because I didn't think it needed it much. There's also a synth that comes in at some parts of the song which I didn't notice until I uploaded it here. Looking back on both of them, I could have done better recreating them, I was a bit short on time though.

I got the violins from EWQLSO, which is a very high quality sound library. If I had done some more EQ-ing it might have sounded better. Also, I added a staccato note at the beginning of each note, which may be the cause of it sounding cheap. I probably could have made the note less noticeable or chosen a different staccato, but at the time it sounded okay to me. I think I intended to change it, but forgot in the end.

I could probably do some remakes sometime soon, but I'm working on a few other projects and school is taking it's toll, so it might take a while.

Thanks for the in-depth review. I really enjoy reading these and seeing how I can become better. It helps me pick out what I did wrong and what I could do better :)

Woah, this is INCREDIBLE.

The melodies are fantastic, the drums are awesome (they could be just a little quieter though), and the mixing is really well done. The intro was beautiful. It's so well done! It doesn't take forever, either, which is a good thing. The mastering's pretty good, too.

The lead at the drop is awesome. What VST did you use? I'm gonna have to try it. :O

Overall, this is a fantastic track. Great job! You've earned a favorite and a follow. :D

Geoplex responds:

Thanks :D I think the lead was a Massive patch, but it's been a while.

Sometimes I like to press buttons that make sounds.
