Very cool idea. I'm not sure, I suck at these kinds of terms but it almost feels a little over-compressed? But mine is too kinda so I probably shouldn't be saying anything. Aside from that I found this really enjoyable, definitely something I'd listen to more than once. Your little drop at 2:27 was my favorite part. Very enjoyable. Cool stuff.

demon1000 responds:

Thank you!

Definitely has that nice SNES feel, but it feels like it's lacking somewhat. It's good for what it is but it never really picks up or changes, although that being said, it was probably never meant to.

Nonetheless, I still really enjoyed it. Good luck and Happy Pixel Day!

LexRodent responds:

Thank for listening.
I was aiming for a subtle change, but I may went too subtle and it fell flat as consequence.
Happy Pixel Day !

This is super fun and easy-going. And those note slides are like candy. Your instrument choices are really nice as well, and your melodies are very simple but they're really good for what they are. Nothing here is overly-complicated and everything is enjoyable. 2:09 to 2:44 is probably my favorite part of this.

Great stuff!

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks for the review and five stars! Gotta love those note slides <3

Woah dude, this is really well-made. The chords are really, really nice, and that jingle at 1:12 is a nice touch. this feels super nostalgic and I love it. And that ending ties everything together really nicely.

Also, it's refreshing to hear something full-length!

littlbox responds:

Thanks, Evilgrapez! I'm really happy that you enjoyed the song. Happy Pixel Day!

Very short but very cool. It really does bring me back to when I was obsessed with chiptunes and old-school games.

Leon-ex responds:

Thank you very much!

Very cool idea here. I love the thing you did at 0:14, but it's unfortunately pretty short. I'd love to hear the finished version!

Blarrgensnorf responds:

Thank you! And I’m also pretty bummed that it’s short, but I hope to finish it when my sickness goes away

Awesome track. Composition and instrumentation is really great, but I agree with Chrono here. It's way too short! I'd love to hear more!

PancakePocket responds:

It was meant for a loop in a game coming out on steam so that’s why it’s so short. Thanks for the review and happy pixel day!

It's that time of year again. It's been great to see you come back for a third year, and you've really stepped up your game this time! You actually made a full adventure in pixely song form. The transitions are pretty smooth and the composition itself is really good. I really like Fortune, Fame, and Glory to No Rest for the Weary, but the Final Battle is where this really shines. Awesome job, wonderful submission for Pixel Day. Hope you win!

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks be to you, Evilgrapez! I truly appreciate the genuine feedback, and am happy to hear that you enjoy the journey. I'm especially proud of the transition between the first two sections you mention by name, and it's fantastic to hear that the Final Battle — as the song's climax — does its job so well.

Thanks again, and Happy Pixel Day!

I like this one. This seems really nice and mellow, and the drums in particular are really enjoyable. I dig that pitch slide at 0:32 too. I just wish it weren't so short, but you know, sometimes short and simple is good.

This is really good and I really enjoyed it. Structure, melodies, sound design, just about everything here is nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but nice. But I feel like the high end is too much. As in, it hurts to hear. Maybe it's just my headphones though, I don't know. I just feel like you could've mixed it so much better.

Nonetheless, nice one!

TodukenMusic responds:

Thanks! :D
